There are many reputable wildlife charities that are current today that all have the same goal to conserve and protect wildlife species worldwide. This page is designed to provide you with a summarized version of all the different options that are provided to us by conservation organisations.

- Join Zoo Girl mailing list. This way you will be kept up to date with latest conservation issues via email.
- Become a volunteer. Many people ask me how do they get a job working with animals. And the answer is simple, you have to prove your keen and the best way to go about that is to volunteer. Not only does volunteering increase your chances of a career with animals, but you are helping the animals as well. A great zoo is Monarto Zoo contact Ngareta Cronin, Volunteers coordinators tours@monartozp.com.au. If Monarto is not in your state look for your local/state zoological park, even a council dog pound is a great start!!!!! Contact me at info@zoogirlclaire.com if you need any assistance.
- Join IFAW’s ‘Born to be Wild’ campaign and show you care about animals and the environment in which they live. Visit www.ifaw.org.au or call on 1800 00 IFAW (4329).
- Visit WWF website at www.worldwildlife.org and check out there many great ideas as to how you can make a difference world wide…you can even allocate your time to a particular project or favorite animal.
- If you think you have seen or been offered an endangered species product in Australia or whilst traveling overseas, contact the Australian Customs Service on Ph: 1300 363 263 Web: www.customs.gov.au or contact me on savethegorilla@hotmail.com
- Support AOP's campaign and adopt an orangutan…it makes a fantastic present, how many times do you buy a family member of friend a present that they forget about a year later. Get a present that will last 12 months and will see you money going to a good cause rather then being lost or forgotten about….visit www.orangutan.org.au
- Join IFAW’s email alert campaign and pass on the message to your friends, family and contacts asking them to take action to protect wildlife.
- Fundraising…it’s a great way to meet people and a great way for you to know that you can make a difference. Anyone of any age can do this…there are many ways to raise money including raffles, choclate drives, garage sales etc….when you advertise that you are fundraising for a charity people are generally a lot more willing to donate…Give it a go, at the end of the day you can decide like me in Claire4Wildlife what conservation projects you want to support….
- Write a letter to parliament letting them know you care
